The Modbus I/O Module

The SfAR-S-ETH module is a Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU/ASCII gateway that allows you to connect Modbus RTU/ASCII devices to the Modbus TCP network.

4 digital inputs & 3 relays outputs

The device features Ethernet and RS485 interfaces, 4 digital inputs (DI), and 3 relay outputs (RO). The digital inputs can function as fast pulse counters or timers, support PNP or NPN input types, and also offer the option of connecting an encoder. The relay outputs are normally open (NO). All inputs and outputs are isolated from the logic with optocouplers.

Easy configuration and commissioning

Communication occurs via the Modbus TCP protocol. The 32-bit ARM core processor ensures fast processing and communication. The SfAR-S-ETH offers a unique feature, the device table, which facilitates communication with devices connected to the RS485 port, making it even faster. The module is equipped with a series of LEDs indicating the status of the I/Os, power supply, and RS485 communication. The modules are configured using the free SfAR Configurator software. An integrated mini-USB port allows for unit configuration without additional power. To simplify installation, the modules are equipped with the Quick Connector system. Using a dedicated SFAR-S-LINK cable, up to 10 modules can be connected, providing both RS485 communication and external power.
