The Modbus I/O Module

SfAR-S-6TI is designed for use wherever multiple temperature measurement points are required. Support for a wide range of temperature sensors and thermocouples makes it an ideal choice, for example, for the chemical or energy industries. Thanks to its two digital outputs and pre-installed logic, the module can be used not only as an I/O extension for a PLC, but also as a standalone application controller.

6 Temperature Inputs & 2 Digital Outputs

The module features 6 temperature inputs (TI) and 2 digital outputs (O). The temperature inputs can work with most common resistance temperature sensors and a wide range of thermocouples. The digital outputs are NPN transistor outputs. All inputs and outputs are isolated from the logic using optocouplers.

Easy configuration and commissioning

The integrated RS485 interface allows for easy connection to the Modbus RTU/ASCII protocol. A 32-bit ARM core processor ensures fast processing and communication.The module is equipped with a series of LEDs indicating the status of the I/Os, power supply, and RS485 communication.The modules are configured using the free SfAR Configurator software. An integrated mini-USB port allows for unit configuration without additional power.To simplify installation, the modules are equipped with the Quick Connector system. Using a dedicated SFAR-S-LINK cable, up to 10 modules can be connected, providing both RS485 communication and external power.
