Modbus I/O Module

The SfAR-1M-2DI2DO can be used as an I/O extension of a controller, which, thanks to its unique features, is suitable for a variety of applications, such as measuring the working time of devices or connecting valves without Modbus support to the Modbus network.

2 Digital Inputs & 2 Digital Outputs

The module has 2 digital inputs (DI) and 2 digital outputs (DO). The digital inputs can work as fast pulse counters, up to 1000 counts per second, or as timers measuring the ON state and also offer the possibility of connecting 2 encoders. The digital inputs support PNP and NPN input types.

Easy configuration and commissioning

The digital outputs are PNP transistor outputs that send voltage signals. All inputs and outputs are isolated from the logic with optocouplers.

An integrated RS485 interface allows easy connection via the Modbus RTU/ASCII protocol. A 32-bit ARM core processor ensures fast processing and communication.

The module is equipped with a series of LEDs used to indicate the status of the I/O, power and RS485 communication.

The modules are configured with the free software, SfAR Configurator. An integrated mini-USB allows the unit to be configured without additional power.
